Established in 2006
Delgado Family Vineyards is devoted to hand crafting artisanal wines that reflect the unique character and quality of the land.
As a small, privately owned and operated vineyard, we put the highest level of care and personal attention into our winemaking, perfecting the flavors of our chardonnay and pinot noir wines year after year.
In fact, our 2014 chardonnay and pinot noir received Double Gold Medals in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest competition of American wines in the world.
The history of Delgado Family Vineyards
The history starts with Miguel as a small boy in Columbus, Ohio. His desire to get to warmer weather eventually lead to the California sunshine. He was fortunate, to attend UCSF Medical School and spend time in San Francisco and the wine country. After plastic surgery training in New York, he returned to the Bay Area where he met his wife Becky and began to raise a family and pursue his career. Our first wine making was a custom crush 25 years ago. The wine was average at best for salad dressing. Over the years, Becky and Miguel persued wine collecting and making small lots of wine that became better each year. Their passion grew toward chardonnay and pinot noir. In 2005, they decided to purchase a 23 acre parcel in the Sonoma Coast Appellation to full fill their dream of creating world class wine.
